I'm not one to wear crazy colours and patterns, but when I do, I prefer them to be vibrant and eye catching. This is something I haven't found in stores lately, and I haven't found any new materials at my trusty affordable fabric stores so I decided to make my own print.
I purchased a $5 boys white t-shirt from Target, some iron on printer paper from Officeworks (this is quite pricey - buyer beware) and found an illustration of a piece of watermelon that I liked. I printed multiples of the watermelon illustration out onto the paper (remember to mirror your design before you print) and cut each out individually before ironing them on in a pattern. Instructions on how to iron them on will be on your paper as I'm sure each product will have different instructions.
I spent Friday evening in the city and had so many compliments from women and girls, so I must have ticked a fashion box!
Of course you can create whatever design you like with iron on transfers - perhaps just one single graphic to go in the centre - the sky is your limit. Happy ironing!
